About
Old songs.
New truth.
Jasmine Reneé Williamson is a New York City based singer with an energy that arrives before she even opens her mouth. She doesn't choose between her influences. She moves freely between ideas — the swing and intimacy of jazz, the raw feeling of R&B, the rhythmic intelligence of hip hop, the soaring discipline of opera, the plainspoken heartbreak of country. She lets them coexist, and something new emerges every time.
She learned from the greats that singing a standard is about having a real conversation with it. The song, the room, the moment. That's the philosophy she carries into every performance: deep respect for the music, and an even deeper commitment to making it feel alive.
Jasmine has performed at some of New York's most beloved rooms — Dizzy's Club, Birdland, Smalls Jazz Club, and The Wallace Lounge — and shared the bandstand with pianists Matt Baker and Billy Stritch, drummer Daniel Glass, guitarist Dion Berardo, and bassists Kris Monson and Boris Kozlov.
