poem

meow

by Jasmine Reneé Williamson

Curled up in a ball Eyes open stretch. Get up time for food Yawn. senses detect some movement A little clean to prepare for the day Perfect spot by the window Sun beautifully beaming warmth on my skin
Then, I remember I'm not a cat.
The weight of the day, Responsibility, Obligation, Take over.
Me. Ow.
